hotel in Kigali for breakfast and a short briefing on your safari. Later, enjoy a drive through the Land of a Thousand Hills to Parc National des Volcanans and marvel at the spectacular sights. The journey north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that characterize much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the iconic Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible.
Begin the day with an early morning drive to the briefing station from where you will begin gorilla tracking in Parc National des Vulcans (Volcanoes National Park). Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience that hundreds of tourists travel far and wide to see. Spend an hour with the friendly primates, and head back to base in time for a late lunch!
Some gorilla families however are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Later in the afternoon, visit the Iby' iwacu cultural village to experience the culture and life of the beautiful Rwandese people.
Enjoy Golden Monkey tracking this morning in Parc National des Vulcan’s with a different feel. A Sample some Rwandese music and
